South Korea’s Public Procurement service bought a further 500 tonnes of refined tin through two tenders this week, bringing total purchases in the year to date to 1,000 tonnes. The agency plans to buy 2,200 tonnes this year.

Both tender awards went to Daewoo International and involve the supply of MSC tin to the port of Incheon by 30 September. C.i.f premiums to the LME price of $590/t for 200 tonnes of 99.9% low lead tin and $470/t for standard grade material were reported on the PPS website.
